Poa bykarta
My father was the karta of a
hindu undivided family which
consisited of my father,
mother, myself and my two
sisters. My father has died and
i am the senior most male
member. However both myself
and my sisters are in foreign
and are unable to attend to
the managing the affairs of the
huf such a operation of bank
account etc . Can i as a karta
or myself and my sisters all
joining together give a power
of attorney to our mother to
act as manager or karta of the
huf or for managing its
affairs, especially operation
of bank accounts , managing
our investments etc.

Yes, you all may appoint your mother as the Karta of HUF.
Alternatively, you may retain the status of Karta and may, as KARTA OF HUF, further appoint your mother as your agent / Power of Attorney holder.
