Power Of Attorney

If a father gives a Power of Attorney to his son in a certain matter, does it mean that the father relinquishes his rights to decide/appear or represent in the same matter and that only the son (power of attorney holder) is entltled to represent in the said matter?

No, just by giving Power of Attorney does not mean that you have relinquished your rights to appear in the matter. You have to send a notice to your son & the concerned court about revocation of POA. You can revoke the POA by appearing in the court and making an application for revocation in the matter.

No.It does not mean that father has religuished his anyright or that he can not contest his case.
