Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Property Law

I am from Chennai, hindu family, property is in chennai. My grandparents wished to give the property to 3 sons. They had not written any will. They were diverted not to do so by my 3 aunts and they are now fighting with us for equal share after my grandparents demise. They were got married before 1989. Will they get equal share? We are telling that for six children, we will divide four shares - from the fourth share you three (women) are suggested to get share. But they are not accepting. Can you please answer for this confusion?

Re: Property Law

Hello.

Your grandparents have died intestated.

As far your aunts are concerned they are not entitled for equal share.

Can you mail me more details but right now I can advise you to file a civil suit under Hindu Succesion Act.

Re: Property Law

All the children are entitled to share equally. you should distribute the property without confusion and may not deprive them of their rights.
