Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

A property was purchased in 1984. I informed revenue authorities giving the details of property I purchased and requested to issue pahani. They issued. In 1984 at the time purchase they never raised any objection and replied with a letter giving copy of pahani. At the registrar office it is registered as Non assigned land. After 25 years Revenue says it is Assigned Land I do not get rights on property. To what extent it is legally correct
