Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

seeking for the suggestion regarding the rent
I have been staying at this place since 81/2 yrs and have been paying the rent regularly without any delay and as demanded by the owner.The rental charges have been increased for about rs200/- 2 months back and now again they are intended to increase with about rs900/-and have given me two months duration either to continue or check for another house.This causes me a trouble as i am unable to find a house in my budget near the surroundings i wanted and my daughter whose is about to complete her graduation within 9 months find it difficult for her transportation to the college.And we do not have any written commitment with the owners all we have is current bills as proof.So could u plz suggest what can i do in this situation.

i am sorry, you have no option but to search for another house.

you keep paying the current rent.

You have not mentioned the area. The rent laws vary from place to place.

in any case, nothing will happen in next nine months. you can keep staying by paying the existing rent.
