Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
The shop of my father, who was the tenant, expired in 1970. The shop and establishment license was in his name only. Later in 1971, I got the license renewed in my and my mothers name as partners. My mother expired in 1999. I had not informed the license department. The license of the shop is payed by my brother-in-law by cheque from his account on my behalf. Is it legal ? or if not what is right way ?

Whoever pays the rent is not important but the license of the shop has to be in your name .
