Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Re - whose signatures are needed for sale of a building?
Iam 30 years old male from Coimbatore. My father, my grandfather and all my uncles are trying to sell a commercial building in Madurai that belongs to my great grandfather. They say that I [the great grandson] dont have any share in it and I dont have any right in it. The guy who is about to buy this property claims that all he needs is just my grandfathers, uncles and my fathers signatures and he authoritatively says that he doesnt need my signature to buy the building. They all are intentionally doing this so that they can swindle my legal share as well. Can I file a petition in court to stop this sale and get a stay on the property? I think I also have legal right in this property. Dont they need my signature to sell the building since it is an ancestral property that is almost 100 years old and Iam the only great grand son ?
