Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Sir i signed blank vakaltnama as my lawyer say to sign and paid him 70% of his fees

but he didnt appear on my court date and now he say to pay me rest otther fees other wise he will sue me

sir what can i do to save myself

and in future advice me what if in future to take copy of vakalatnama from my lawyer in which all deal is written

Dear Sir / Madam,

Police intervention is recommended to resolve this issue, since the Advocate / Lawyer took the fees and failed to appear in the Court on the appointed date.

Make an application to court to change the lawyer, and ask another lawyer to appear on your behalf. Get a clarity about fees and services from the new lawyer before hand, so you do not face the same problem again.
