Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Sir,

I am the christian priest, I have been appointed in a church, which is a garrison church. Our congregation is worshipping in a garrison church building since 1929 and has a good witness in the surrouned vicinity. recently the church celebrated it's 75th church anniversary and upholded a 63rd Palm Sunday Procession. The third and the fourth generation people are worshipping in this sanctuary. Now the question is that there is also one another congregation worshipping similiarly But now they claim that property as the successor of the Anglican churches. They alos run a secondary shool which has no leagality in itself. They are staying their in person but we only have our worship material in the sanctuary. On the pretext of repair /renovation they have put the lock on the main church building and also at the church boundary gate with the intention to keep us away where as we find it difficult to move to some other alternate with such a big congregation of 400- 500 people, worshipping every sunday. In respect of renovation we like to worship in the church ground (4227 acrs) but we are not permitted.

In this senario what can be the solution and how our years old congregation can deal ?. When we are one of the stakeholder. the tension is mounting kindly response.

This is matter which needs to be discussed in person. as you are using the land since 1929, you have a good ground to abstain others who intend to encroach upon your land and are putting locks at the main gate. the mounting tension may subside with suitable legal action.
