Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Sirs,
My father purchased land in 1981. The area measures One gunta which was equal to 1089 Sq Ft. Now the land owner has field a case in court saying we have acquired more than a gunta And he is referring 1 gunta is equal to 1000 sq ft. Where I can find the Govt.act or paper saying 1 gunta is equal to 1089 sq ft or 1000 sq ft. which will help me in court.
Pl. advise.

Ask the Land Revenue Officer in the area where the land is situated. If he says that one guntha is equal to 1089 sq. feet. Produce his as your witness in your case.
