Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

succession certificate in India

Hello, we are 2 brothers based in the UK. Our father was also based in the UK and passed away in the UK recently. He passed away intestate and we have the probate letter of administration from UK. Our father also had some bank accounts in India. We are told that we need a succession certificate to access and close our fathers bank accounts. Can you please tell us what the procedure is for obtaining a succession certificate and how long does this process take. MAny Thanks.
