Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Need Suggestion
My question is: I was a witness of one case 7 years back in Punjab now the opposite party has filed a case against the old case last year stating that it is false case and based upon imaginary facts. Now i am staying in Mumbai for last 2 yrs ,last year court had sent a sum van at my old address where i am not staying for last 2 yrs as a result of which i was not be able to present in the court for first 2 hearing now the next hearing is next month on 15th March mean while i am going to get married before that in my home town Rajesthan,Can police come and arrest me before the hearing date in my village as I had sent few cards to my friends in that city and the opposite party is aware of my village address. Any ways I am going to get bail in the next hearing even if they will not arrest me as now I am aware of the facts.
Please help me ,I am very much tense.
Regards,
Samarjeet

Re: Need Suggestion
Yes, if there is a summon / warrant against you, police may possibly arrest. therefore, better you seek bail as early as possible.
Re: Need Suggestion
cool man nothing to worry why will a witness get arrested if he is not present and further more the case will not stand and why is necessity for you to obtain bail as you are only witness to the previous case.So be cool and Happy married life.
