transfer of share
my father had shares of about 10 lakhs. he hadnt provided any nomination. he passed away a few months back. he's not left with any will. what would be the procedure and total cost for transferring the shares to his wife's name.the present share value is less than 50%

an application for succession certificate should be filed in the civil court so as to transfer the shares in the wife's name.

The rules for succession are State specific. The deceased's wife may require succession certificate or a Letter of Administration.
