Cheque Bounced

I got Salary cheque from IT Based company but it has bounced

Bank said it was bounced due to insufficient Funds.What Penalty shall be imposed to the Company

Please let me know

The company may be fined double the amount of check in proceedings under 138 Negotiable Instruments Act.

you can send a legal notice u/s 138 to the company in case you have left the job. in case you on the job, you must talk to the official before taking a legal action.
