power connection

i had purchased property from bank(debt recovery tribunal) under auction but after the purchase of property i come to know that very big amount of power bill is due when contected power board for connection they refused (verbaly) that due to old outstanding amount you will not get fresh connection

dont worry there law is there to help you.

you are entitled to have clear title and if that has not been informed to you then u are entitled to sue the bank for that.

You are a bonafide purchaser,so,you can not be held liable for past bills.you sent your representation to electricity Deptt.and if they refuse in writing the approach the DRT for direction to bank to clear the bills and you can also approach the consumer court for compensation on that account.
