Legal Question in Technology Law in India

I am working in a public limited company. I was associated with this company since last 20 years as Head-IT. I was also handeling the commercial of the company for last 10 years. Now all the commercial anamolies are settled and my management sidelined me. Now I am limited with my IT function. When I asked for official designation of GM (IT) the management feel embrassed and assured me to give this position in next appraisal. From last 4 years they r doing the same and finally appointed a DGM (IT) who is less experienced then me.

I am handeling so many servers and had a data of company. Pl guide me on the following issue :

1. If I take data with me and down all the function of IT ?

2. What can management do legally against me ?

3. How can I get my legal right ?

Dear Sir / Madam,

The Company seems to be in no mood to give you a promotion.

1. It would amount to doing something which can cause loss to the Company and you will be liable for legal action.

2. A Police complaint and a case can be lodged against you by the Company.

3. You should look out for another job.

The actions proposed by you are of Criminal nature, and no lawyer can advise you to go ahead with it.

Ideally you should resign, and start looking for a fresh job.
