Would like to know whether the builder(Mumbai jurisdiction) can charge for the balcony area?

Dear Friend,
In lighter vein : "Anything unreasonable whilst buying becomes very reasonable whilst selling."
Look at it this way - If you are going to pay for the balcony area, all you need to ensure is that the actual balcony area is included and mentioned in your purchase agreement in your total built-up area.
Please check your agreement and confirm details.
Generally, builders in Mumbai charge 50% rate for an open unenclosed half or full balcony.
