Legal Question in Construction Law in India
Dear Sir,
It is a construction contract agreement. An E-Stamp Paper has been issued on 28th June 2011. Agreement has been signed on 19th December 2012 with effect from 15th June 2011. Is it a valid contract because E-Stamp Paper date is on a later date than that of date of effective applicability of the contract (15th June 2011)

Dear Sir / Madam,
Since the Construction Contractual Agreement has been entered into and signed on 19th December, 2012 having come into effect after the date of E-franking for payment of Stamp Duty, it is a valid contract as per the provisions of the Indian Contract Act and the Indian Stamp Act. It is possible that the parties to the contract may have been operating vide a provisional MOU from 15th June, 2011 till the date of formalizing their contract i.e 19th December, 2012.
