Delay in possession of flat booked

We are more than 150 members, have entered into an agreement for purchase of flat, we were supposed to get possession in Oct. '07. But still we have not got possession as construction has stopped totally. We approached builder he is giving us all false promises. We wanted to know is there any legal action we can take against builder and how long will it take. As we are desparately waiting for occupation of flat.

Your agreement needs to be reviewed.

You can approach to consumer forum as well.

You may want to refer to the agreement executed with the vendor/builder. The legal action, if any, should be only in terms of the relevant clauses of the agreement after giving the defaulting party a due notice.
