illegal construction in chennai

near our house another house is being illegaly constructed, which also has wall starting from the fence itself, and is a two storeys and in an unbelievable measurement of 14 feet by 60 feet , how do we address this in chennai velachery area, since if this is raised then they might resort to goondaism , what is the best solution.

Can you believe one may find "Justice" in the environment of "Goondaism"? If you can afford, make complaint to police, relevant department, file civil suit for declaration and permanent injunctions. Before making decision must take into consideration of veracity of "Goondas"!

You may file complaint with the local municipal authority and if nothing is done by the Authority within specified period, then you may file a Civil Writ Petition in the High Court.

In the alternative, you may also file a Civil Suit for Permanent & Mandatory Injunction, in the Civil Court.
