you may seek the details of write off and in case that does not belong to you, you may question the bank and get the same corrected otherwise file a consumer complaint.
You may ask the member bank (to which you had applied for home loan) to provide the control number of cibil report based on which your loan application was rejected. After having obtained the control number of report, you may put a mail to "[email protected]" specifyig details including your name, PAN number, Permanant address, contact umers and control number etc with a brief note on the purpose of getting report as you have mentioned in this question.
Cibil will provide you the actual report free of cost and accordingly you may question the concerned bank upon whose inference your name was added in to negative list. based on your written submission to the concerned bank, your name will be reported to be corrected at Cibil's data base.
Moreover, the cibil report is suggestive in nature and it is discretionary for the member bank to reject/ Sanction your loan.
You may seek relevant information from the bank and take appropriate action by filing a complaint in consumer court if your name has been wrongly included in a list of defaulters.
Sorry to have dissenting opinion.... consumer forum may be approached if applicant had already paid for the services. If the bank has not yet charged processing fee for loan, complaint is not maintainable. Moreover, if the agreived party was not a customer of the concerned bank, who has referred his name to defaulter's list, how consumer complaint will survive against that bank too!!
