Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
One of the bank recovery cell has sent today me a mail as DEMAND NOTICE for credit card outstanding payment. I have contacted customer care of the bank few months back and settled the negotiated money with them. But, now the bank recovery cell is demanding the remaining money.
I do have both the correspondence of the bank cutomer care asking me to pay the negotiated amount and receipt for the same. But, I LOST the correspondence about closure of the account from customer care sent to me after the payment.
Is there anyway to proceed to consumer court with the above proof and succeed from not paying the remaining amount? Can the bank recovery cell file a FIR against me ?

if you lose the paper then you face the problem try to find it out
you have an option either to approach the consumer forum or to wait for the bank to initiate recovery proceedings. bank cannot lodge an f.i.r against you.
