Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
I bought a Tyota Qualis as Second-hand sales from one Raju in 5-6-2006. on 6-6-2006 I insured my Car which I bought. Later it was found to be a theft vehicle and Police seized the vehicle saying that the chasis and engine No. has been found to be fabricated and got registered in the RTO. Now Police have seized and handed over it to its original owner. I approached the Consumer forum . Can I able to claim my Insurance for loss of vehicle. If so in what manner...?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Forget the insurance, you should claim your money back from the person who sold the stolen car to you. There is no way the insurance company will pay you for a stolen vehicle.

You cannot claim Insurance money, even it will be difficult fir you to recover the amount paid towards purchase of the Vehicle.
