What should I do as a cheque for Rs.3,15,000/= deposited to our bank bounced stating insufficient fund.

You have to send the drawaer of the Cheque a Legal Notice through an Advocate within a period of 30 days of the receipt of the Bank Memo w.r.t. bounced cheque.

If the cheque was meant for discharging a legal liability, you ask the drawer to compensate/
reimburse in default you have option to sue him under Negotiable Instrument Act. which
spells the act as criminal offence.
