Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
I have filed a complaint in the state consumer forum regarding directing the builder to register the flat in my name and judgement is in my favor.
So far one year has over and there is no any action from the builder. I wanted to apply for the execution of petition after waiting for some more time as there is a legal cases between the said builder and the land lord. and I have been in the possession of the flat for past 3years.
May I know how many years the judgement is valid?

It is valid for ever till it is modified/changed or dismissed by the National commission.
Unless reversed by Higher Court judgment is valid.
u need not wait for one year for filing execution.
I guess, what you want to ask is, within what time can you enforce a judgment. Then answer is within 12 years from the date of final judgment. After 12 years, though Judgment is still valid, but it cannot be executed. Another thing. a judgment is always valid, unless it is reversed, quashed / set aside by the Superior Forum.
