Legal Question in Consumer Law in India

Injury from walking through glass doors

My daughter suffered serious injury while entering a coffee shop that had placed a glass partion adjoining the glass door.

The door was not marked and there was no object guiding a visitor from hitting the glass.

the glass was only 5 mm thick where as the code recommends a 12 mm shatter proof glass for all public places.

The oweners of the coffee shop have been very rude and have denied any liability for compensation.

My daughter is badly scarred from the multi point cuts has more than 20 stitches all over her body.

How do I approach the appropriate conumer forum and who can help me get justice.

I wish to claim damages both for medical expenses and compensation for the mental injury caused by the scars.
