Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
In Jan, 2008 I have purchased a flat from builder. He charged everybody the possible service tax around 1.20 laces which was interest free deposit. As per him the service tax matter is in courst and he is not sure whether it is applicable or not. The government applied service tax from July,2010 onwards. So I have called to the builder office to discuss the same.
They have told me that service tax is not applicable but now VAT needs to submit to the government and still this is not yet finalize we cannot take decision of refund.
I am now clueless to what to do.
Can anybody tell me what the exact rule is and is that applicable?
Thanks in advance.

you may approach the consumer court against the builder for refund but before that send a legal notice.
