Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
A lift maintenance contractor is bullying us and taking a huge amount as maintenance charges, which includes spares and service. He however does not give a breakup or the option to choose comprehensive or service only. No other service provider is willing to take this job. Can our lift contractor be issued a notice under MRTP act?

Yes you can file a complaint before MRTP Commission ( Now Competition Appellate Tribunal) under Unfair trade practices against the contractor. You will surely get the relief.
But before all this you can serve upon him a legal notice through your lawyer and ask him to fulfill the requirements.
