Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
I received a token payment against sale of my flat terms of which were recorded on a plain paper and signed by me and the buyer. Since I had a dispute with the Society which was referred to the Dy.Registrar, the Society refused to give NOC citing flimsy reasons and the transaction did not go through and the token money was returned. Subsequently, I sold the flat, a distress sale, on account of my daughter's marriage, for a sum Rs.3 lac less than the price offered by first buyer. Can I seek compensation from the Soc. under the Consumer Protection Act.
