Rental cheque bounce
My tenant had provided a cheque against rent which bounced. What legal options do I have.

you have three options to proceed against your tenant. One you can proceed under section 138 NI Act, second in addition u/s 420 IPC and thirdly for recovery for rent and many more legal actions against depending upon the state you are residing in.

You can file a complaint U/S 138 Negotiable Instrument Act and can simultaneously also file summary suit for recovery of cheque ammount.
