Very seriously, we would like to seek your honest opininion / advice in connection with pretection of Tourists' rights from shrewed tour operators/travel agents who dupe unsuspecting / gullible tourists, in the name of Package/Conducted Tours. We want to set the Tourists free from the realms of such operators and also institute case in the Consumers Redressal Forum. Seek your kind advice.

tourists rights would depend upon the contract they have entered into with the agent. without there being any facts, one cannot opine

HI,

Two kinds of tourists operators are working in the market -

one is Operators without license. ( Maximum operators dont have license from the government.)

Two Licensed operators but operating in malesious manner to earn bad money by duping tourists.

One can complain about the category one operators to the Police or the Licensing Authorities.

For the second category one may proceed against them in respect of terms and conditions entered into by the Tourist and the operator.

There are number of cases pending before the Consumer Forums against the Tour Operators, Guides and have been made to pay the compensation to the said tourist for the loss of money and inconviniance caused to them .

The person availing their services must ensure that every should be done in writing and must have proper payment proofs ( Receipts etc.) Must also have the agreement copy duly signed, brochure of tour package, and all other related documents.
