Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
Sir,
I have purshased an used Palio car in March'09 from a service centre. After taking delivery, it is noticed that the car is giving only 5-6 kmpl. For 3 months I have struggled complaining about the same to the garrage people but still the problem continues even after they attended to it.
Now, the car is in the name of Earlier owner and not got transferred to my name. Iam demanding the garrage people to return my amount and take back the car for which they are not responding neither.
They have given the transfer forms to me and original RC at the time of purchase.
Is there any time limit to get the vehilce tranferred in my name?
Can I proceed legally againt the sellers for selling a petrol guzzler car?

here the principle of buyer beware has to be applied. you should have got the car checked before purchasing. your complaint would fail.
You may make an effort by filing a civil suit.
