Legal Question in Consumer Law in
My wife is a startup woman entrepreneur .With lots of hope we planned to start an online travel portal for which we invested lot of time and lakhs of Rupee. To make the portal professional we thought to outsource the project and gave it to a web devlopment company called PROVAB in Bangalore. We paid Rs.50000/-in advance and the contact person called vinay shukla from that company also gave a demo of how the portal will look like.So we were very hopeful thinking that our business will be on action soon.Little did we know that the company is cheating on us.We kept insisting of a receipt of our payment which they were not responding. The contact guy Vinay Shukla is hiding and avoiding us.We are in a mess situation as whether to wait or postpone our dream project. The guy has been harassing us a lot.He gives deadlines to talk and then hides back.We have almost incured a loss of 10 lakh in form of inability to grab a funding option due to delay in the project. We were assured to get the project done in 45 dys where as its been more than 100days.We are not sure of the quality of the project and we lost a good business opportunity. It is a personal & finanacial loss (as she left her job offer for this) specially for a woman entrepreneur who is now low in moral due to this fraud guy. Please advice us how we can get compensation against this.
We have the agreement copy sent by the Vinay and copy of conversations from the company email id.Also the copy of cheque we gave in name of the company.
is there any hope that we can recover money from his company? We are from Navimumbai.

terms of the agreement would reveal the cause of action
yes, you may file a suit for recovery of your due u/o 37 of civil procedure code and as the code has summary procedure, you may get your money back sooner. you may also sue the company for damages, harassment and business loss caused to you and your project.
