Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
I had used www.travelocity.co.in for booking a ticket. They had an offer where i could use an ICICI card to generate an evoucher of Rs. 300. I did that and proceeded to make a booking, but the transaction failed and my account got debited.
Then the evoucher also became invalid, so i had to generate another evoucher and proceeded to make the booking and it went through. Next day i got an email from travelocity informing me that the ticket has been cancelled as i used 2 evouchers, they charged me Rs. 1000 as cancelation and admin charges.
I have been battling them since then to refund the 1000 rupees as it was a problem with their website. But to no avail. The very next day, I was booking another ticket and this time too, my account got debited for but no ticket was issued.
I called customer care and they told me, that the refund will be done in 48 hours. however after 6 days i called them again and they told me, that i will have to call the bank for the refund and they cannot do anything and that i was given wrong information.
I want to get my 1000 rupees back and charge damages for mental harassment.
Please advise.

u may approach ur district consumer forum.
issue a legal notice and then approach consumer forum. However your amount is too small therefore ask maximum damages, legal fees etc in the notice and complaint.
You are eligible to get cost & compensation. You may approach
through Bank's own redressal system at first alternately you
may go to the District Consumer redressal forum.
