Dear Mr. Rajiv Gupta,

We have gone through your answers pertaining to Credit Card Default queries.

You have informed that "at the most the bank would file a suit for recovery and non payment of loan cannot be considered a criminal offence" but I also found out in a website stating that "Under Payment and Settlement Act of 2007, effective August 2008, Defaults on Credit Cards are Criminal Offence".

Kindly clarify and oblige.
