My brother in law asked me financial help of Rs 100000 in Feb'10, and promised to pay by 31 Mar'10, after Mar'10, when I asked him to pay the money, he either not responded or told that I am in crisis and I will pay with interest, Now one year has passed, he is not responding. The only evidence with me is the bank statement of money transfer from my bank to his bank through e cheque and His bank account number which he send me for money transfer from his mobile no
This seems to be malafide intention, can it be proved, what should I do to get my money back plus some punishment for him for not holding his commitment

You can recover your amount. See, oral contract are as effective and valid as the written one. If you could present one or two witnesses and along with it the documentary proofs you have, you can succeed and for that you need to file a criminal and a civil suit. Call for any confusion.
