Regarding Cheque Bounce

Hi,

My friend borrowed money RS.1.66 lacks, he give two Cheque�s one is Rs. 11000/- and Rs 1, 55, 000. Both the Cheque got returned when I presented in the Bank saying �Funds insufficient�. When I am trying to reach him, He is not responding. Both the Cheque�s are more than one month old and I have represented only once. Could you please let me know what kind and legal actions I can take against him?

Hello.

Good Evening.

You may deposit the cheque one more time in the Bank and when you receive the acknowledgment you may issue a legal notice u/s 138 of the NI Act with the help of a local lawyer.
