Cheques Bouncing

with regard to a hotel booking.Guest Checkin Inn and Checked out the TRavel Agent sent us a Cheque but it has bounced twice for insufficient funds.What course of action is approprite and also he has threatned us ,do what you can

You should send a demand notice within the stipulated period; and may thereafter file a criminal complaint with local court u/s 138 of N.I. Act; you may also file a civil suit for recovery. both action may be pursued simultaneously also.

u can simply consult a lawyer and he would sent a legal notice for recovery u/s 138 and in case the travel agent doesnt comply with the notice, a criminal complaint can be filed before the magistrate. do consult a lawyer immediately as the notice needs to be sent within one month from bouncing of cheque.
