Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Credit Card fees

One of the customer executive came to my company & offered Platinum card to me & for my wife promising that there is not annual & joining fees. But the first bill came to me was around 11k which included annual & joining fees for both cards. Then i called up the customer care and requested for the cacellation of card. I paid the money of 1850 againt the actual purchases i made in the card. But now banking is calling me to pay that 11k agint annual fees even if i cancelled the card & not used the card after that. Can they take any leagl action againt me for that annual fees evethoug i have never used that card after that.

You should send them a notice demanding damages for mental harassment; and if they do not agree for a compromise, you may consider filing a case against the bank in district consumer court.
