Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

My dad has an outstanding balance of Rs.88000 for his credit card. The bank demands Rs.17000/- , one stroke settlement which is impossible for us to bu right now. If not the bank asks me to face it legally. Will the amount be deduced in the court or have I to pay the full sum ?

this is the repeat question. You must settle it in full and final, and make the payment only to an authorised person of the bank by checking the authority.
