Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
dear sir, couple of months back i took 100000 from a land-lord on 15% interest p/m basis. He made a notary with me forcing me to sign which said i took abt 3 lacs.As i urgentrly required the amount for personal purpose i signed the notary agreement. He didnt showed me the true copy and i blindly too signed underneath trusting their word. Later when i recieved a xerox copy i was shocked to find in it saying i have mortgaged my ford fiesta (Which i dont even possess) . I immediately approached him saying to break all agreements and was ready to pay him his 1 lac plus his current month's interest, which he declined and asked for 3 lacs saying he would drag me to court. I know i am now completly gutted as i had also previously given him 2 blank chqs at the time of agreement.
I am ready to pay his sanctioned amount plus this motths interest too thats upto 1.15 lacs. Please advise whats the option thats left with me..

At first you send an advocate notice by stating all the things and you inform this matter to the police. Then you may file a declaration for nullity suit against the land lord or you take criminal action against him.
as you have been cheated by him, you may file a complaint before the magistrate and elaborate all the true facts in your complaint that he forged the documents. this may be your defence.
You can file for declaration that the said document is null and void.
