Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Dear Sir,

I use to work in Qatar for the last around 14 yrs and all of a sudden I lost my job and came back to India. I have some outstanding balance of Credit Card/s in qatar.Now i dont have funds to clear the outstanding amount. can the banks take legal action against me in India?
