Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Dear Sir/Madem,

I had lent sum of Rs. 20000 to one of my friend. He needed it for only one month. but it is almost 6 months over he is paying back. Half of amount for which he given post dated checque but as per that bank there is no such bank account.please advise what leagal side i can take.

if there is no bank account then it is a case of 420 as well as 138. issue notice within 30 days of dishonour and file the complaint
