Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
Due to financial problem I am unable to repay my credit card bill. The same I have update the collection dept. But they harassing me. They shows me a letter written on Kotak Bank letter pad to SHO Police station. They are saying if you don't pay I will give this letter in your local police station then you will have to go jail. Please advice what should I do.

non payment of credit card bill is a civil liability and not criminal one. their showing you such document is an arm twisting tactic to get their money out. You may write to the bank ombudsman for it or write to the reserve bank for it.
