Fees for Serving Legal Notice u/s 138
I need to serve a notice u/s 138 of the NI Act to the drawer of a cheque, which was dishonored due to insufficient funds.
What would be an appropriate fees to pay a lawyer to prpare this notice?

There is no criterion of fees. It depends on the personal capacity and caliber of the advocate. An advocate with big name can charge as high as 11000/- or even much more. An advocate with not much name or resources may charge even 200/-. The most important thing, u need to see, is that who is the person who can handle your matter and has good understanding of the issue as the notice will be the base of your case and wrong notice will damage it. An advocate with good understanding of the matter only can prepare a good notice.
My fees would be Rs. 1100/- for one addressee and Rs. 500/- per additional addressee.

As such there is no price list for service of a lawyer and the fee vary from lawyer to lawyer.My fee is Rs.2200/- for issuance of notice.

Fees averagely would be Rs.500/-.

Hello. First of all let me inform you as there is no price list for the fees & the fees starts from Rs. 1000 and onwards.
