one of my friend borrowed aprox one lakh rupees from me and in that against he issued me 3 cheques and but when i presented these cheques to my bank then all the cheques got disowner and reason for disowner was account closed then I send an legal notice to him but he did not receive the registry and got back what can i do

HI,

After legal notice the next step is to file a complaint case under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act.

U can file the case within 1 month from the date of expiry of limit given in the legal notice. Thereafter sufficient grounds for condonation of delay should mentioned in order to get it addmited by the Megistrate.
