Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Hi,

I had a credit card from citibank which I took in 2003. I stopped using this card in 2004. The amount due was about INR 80,000.00 the payments I made were not regular and in 2005 the bank froze my salary a/c which was also with citibank and took away my complete salary. Post this I decided not to give them a single penny.

Now, I have received the following email from them:

WARRANT OF ARREST

Stands charge with the offence of (state of offence) 420 & 506 IPC.�����..

Due to nonpayment of your credit card above mentioned bank if he/she had any relationship with bank in (past or present)

With the help of this registered complaint your credit rating will be effected and will be black listed in all the multinational companies.
