Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
Hi
I had settled my SCB credit cared in 2002, post that till date i have not recd. any information from SCB. However all of sudden after 9 years they came back and are telling me that i have 5L plus outstanding. I do not have any documents to prove that my card was settled. Till 2010 my parents were living at the same address at which card was issued. Still haven't received any letter from SCB.
Can you pls. help and let me know what options do i have for sorting this.

contact a lawyer and he would send a notice mentioning all the details and direct them to restrain themselves to harass you or ur family members.
thats right sending them legal notice wuld help initially
They are threatening you as they cannot claim anything from you after 9 years . Dont give in to there pressure but file a complaint before police if they trouble you.
