Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Hi,\nI gave a hand loan of one lakh to one one of my friend.For that he gave his father land sale deed documents to me and a promissory note of ten thousand.Now he is refusing to pay the money.pl let me know what can i do to recover my money?
