Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I hold a credit card of icici bank. I have also a Savings A/c with that Bank. In february I dropped in their Drop Box a cheque for payment of dues of credit card of icici bank drawn on UBI where I do hold another SB A/c. But unfortunately the icici bank authority debited the whole amount from my SB A/c with their Bank without any intimation to me. Is it legal? I am ready to go to Court of Law to see the end. Am I right? Please let me know.

has ICICI deducted the dues or the deduction was more than the cheque amount. do elaborate.
